Hello Prospective Parents and Students!
Thank you for visiting the GALA website and for your interest in school tours! We know finding the right school for your daughter can be stressful and your year will be filled with school tours and trying to find the right school fit. At our school tours, we hope to give you the information that will help you decide if GALA is the right fit for your family. At GALA, our mission is to build confident, powerful, trailblazing women who have the potential to solve the world's problems... or at least make the world a better place!
NOTE: GALA TOURS ARE OVER FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN TOURING IN THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR, THE RSVP LINKS ARE POSTED ON OUR WEBSITE ON SEPTEMBER 1ST. DUE TO THE NUMBER OF APPLICATIONS, WE CAN NOT ACCOMMODATE "SHADOW" DAYS OR PRIVATE TOURS.

If you plan to apply to GALA, you will need to submit the LAUSD Unified Enrollment application and select GALA as your school of choice under "Unique Education Pathway Schools" (formerly "Admission Criteria Schools").

(Note: Check back regularly (HERE) as there are usually cancellations on the RSVP site before tours. If you see a date highlighted on the RSVP site, a tour is available and you can click to sign up. All tours have a "stand-by" list on the day-of a tour. You can add your name to the stand-by list in-person 15 minutes before the tour. Any available seats will be released to that list.)
Virtual Tour
(All grades are welcome to join the virtual tour. If your student is 4th grade or below, only choose the virtual tour. If you plan to apply to GALA, we highly recommend that you attend an in-person or a virtual tour so you are sure we are good fit for your daughter.)

TOUR INFO
We can't wait to meet you! Before you RSVP (link below), please read the important information below.
5th Grade and Up ONLY: In-person tour space is limited. In-person tours are only for students/families in the 5th - 11th grades. If you are in 4th grade or below, please do not sign up for an in-person tour, however, you are welcome to sign up for our November virtual tour. Our new location is under a 2-phase upgrade project and you will get a much better idea what GALA would be like for your student if you only attend in the year your student will be applying for 6th-12th grades.​​

One Tour Only: Please only sign up for ONE tour. Any double bookings will result in both of your tours being cancelled. If you are a no-show to a tour and you book a subsequent tour, you will be placed on the waiting list and priority will be given to families who have only signed up for one tour.

In-Person Saturday Open House Tour (Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 9:30am or 12:30pm): This is our ONLY Saturday tour. This tour is a presentation with our Principal and staff, a walking tour, and the Saturday tours offer more of an opportunity to talk with our students about their academic subjects and talk with our current parents about their GALA experience.

Weekday Tours (October 18, 28, 2024): Weekday tours offer a tour presentation and brief walking tour. Although you will be able to peek into a few classrooms, we are not able to accommodate tours observing inside the classroom. As a public school, we do NOT offer "shadow" days.

NEW GALA LOCATION
We are elated to announce that the GALA has moved to its own campus as of August 2024. As an all-girls model, we believe our mission and vision will be fully realized on our own all-girls campus. Our new location is nestled and surrounded on three sides by the beautiful Mount. Saint Mary's Doheny Campus (the only all-girls college in Los Angeles), the area's historic Victorian mansions, and conveniently located within walking distance from the Expo train line. We have already partnered with Mount Saint Mary's and USC on multiple projects and we can't wait to continue those relationships. The location is 2328 St. James Place. In September 2023, the School Board also approved a 2-Phase campus improvement project that includes painting, upgrading, and adding bungalows.
LAUSD will be providing transportation to GALA via school buses from select areas, including a bus from our current location at LA High School. We hope you are as excited as we are that we finally have a campus to call our own!
